Non-executive & board advisor
Boards are at their best when someone at the table has done the work before: delivered the systems, integrated the acquisitions, and seen what happens when a programme drifts. I bring that operational and technology experience to boards as a Non-Executive Director or board advisor, for both growing businesses and established organisations.
What I bring to a board
Technology and operations oversight. I ask the right questions about systems, data, cyber security and operating model, and I know which answers to probe.
Transformation and M&A experience. I've been through acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs and large-scale change, at board level and on the ground.
Investor perspective. I'm experienced in sponsor-backed environments, working alongside private equity investors through growth, due diligence and governance cycles.
Governance and risk. I've chaired charity boards, owned risk registers, and reported to investors, SteerCos and regulators.
Independent challenge. I offer constructive, honest support to the executive team, with the business's long-term interest at the centre.
For start-ups and scale-ups
I can help you build the foundations that let you grow without breaking: the right technology choices, an operating model that scales, and the governance investors expect to see. I also help ensure the business is ready for its next funding round, acquisition or exit.
For established businesses
I provide independent oversight of technology, transformation and operational risk. That might mean steering an ERP or digital programme, preparing for M&A, strengthening cyber and compliance, or making sure strategy is translating into delivery.
How I work
Roles are typically one to two days a month. They include board meetings, preparation and time with the executive team between meetings. I'm open to formal NED appointments, advisory board roles, or chairing a technology or transformation committee.
